Jackson Farming have a mixed farming enterprise at Moyston, 14 kms west of Ararat, in the foothills of the Grampians mountains.
The farming operation is run by David and Carol, their son Ross and his wife Lydia, and children Lane, Lily and Ned.
At the home farm a Border Leicester and Poll Dorset stud are run along with cattle, cereal, and canola cropping and the production of hay for sale.
Ross and Lydia, run Merino sheep and produce first and second cross lambs, as well as cattle and cereals on their new farm, and leased property. They also have a niche market for bagged grain.
Jackson Farming are committed to producing stylish, robust and healthy sheep, with balanced performance figures. The combination of these traits should give commercial producers, the opportunity to achieve a profitable outcome from their sheep enterprise. Jackson sheep are MN2 vaccinated, since 2001, (eligible for entry into SA) and are Brucellosis accredited.
